Lower Silesian Cluster of Renewable Energy

The Lower Silesian Cluster of Renewable Energy in order to achieve the objectives underlying its establishment, is involved in many initiatives related to environment protection and promotion of renewable energy resources in Lower Silesia. Some projects were organised by the Cluster itself, some in cooperation with its members.

Lower Silesian Renewable Energy Forum

The annual Cluster’s initiative focuses on educational activities, which show the possibilities, opportunities and threats connected with usage of renewable resources of energy in Lower Silesia. The 2-day forum gathers specialists from different fields of interest who during their presentations and discussion panels share their knowledge with Forum’s participants (companies, local authorities etc.). Workshops and meetings are headed by practitioners and therefore they enable the exchange of knowledge and experience based on real events coming from their activity on renewable energy market.

There were already 4 editions of Forum (2007-2010) which gathered  wider and wider audience every time. The greatest interest was noticed during the III Renewable Energy Forum held under the motto: “Practitioners for Practitioners – good practices in renewable energy resources and energy efficiency”. The 2-day event gatherd more than 200 participants, mainly representatives of local authorities, who had the chance to find out how to conduct renewable energy projects in their communities.

Lower Silesian Renewable Energy Fair

This event is held along with the Renewable Energy Forum and gives companies and institutions the opportunity to present themselves in the renewable energy branch. The newest solutions for companies, administration and housing are shown during the Fair.

There were 3 editions of Fair so far. All of them attracted dozens of exhibiting companies and few thousands visitors.

X Local Government Forum in Kudowa Zdrój – heading thematic panel for local authorities about technologies based on renewable energy sources

Lower Silesian Cluster of Renewable Energy was a host and a moderator of one of thematic panels, during which technologies based on renewable resources of energy were presented. Representatives of companies, universities and research entities associated in the Cluster discussed the usage possibilities of renewable energy technologies in Lower Silesia. The panel enjoyed great interest among Forum’s participants, who continued a wide discussion in the next few days of the event.

Training-advisory project EkoGmina - strategies for renewable energy development in the communities of Lower Silesia.

The project is prepared and conducted by the Cluster’s Coordinator and its goal is to promote sustainable development through renewable energy use on 3 levels: local, poviat (district) and regional. This project is an answer to real needs: diversification of energy resources and problems with excessive energy consumption of many investments.

The goal of the project is not only to promote the idea of environment friendly energy, but also practical education about implementation of projects and investments in energy efficiency. Our objective is to strengthen the administration by improving local government qualifications, promote education and develop an information society.

EkoGmina project aims at representatives of local government from the following regions: powiat świdnicki, powiat dzierżoniowski and powiat kłodzki, as well as their communities and members of NGOs that take care of development of these areas.
