History
The Lower Silesian Cluster of Renewable Energy was established on 3 March 2008 in Świdnica as a voluntary agreement of companies, R & D units, communities, organizations and institutions that support development of renewable energy sources and promote the idea of energy efficiency in Lower Silesia.
The foundation of the Cluster attracted new entities and therefore a large group of companies and institution supporting each other and focusing on common goals could arise.
A cluster’s potential can be measured by the number and diversity of its participants. In case of the Lower Silesian Cluster of Renewable Energy there are over 30 companies and 10 institutions after 2 years. They create a common vanguard for activities promoting environment protection and renewable energy resources usage.
The current annual turnover only in the Cluster’s companies is nearly 450 million PLN while the number of their employees are close to 2 thousand people.
